The surge valve is hooked up to brake booster as the instruction from ATI.Any help would be great!!

Brownish red tint... are you running an octane booster? That will do that. The plugs should have a light brown tint to them.

hmm brownish red smoke..
What was your air fuel ratio at? Did you go to set of colder spark plugs?

If no one answers you here, talk to tech support at ATI.

Let us know what the problem was.

Unless your looking to blow up your engine.. The first order of business it to FIRE your tuner!. he obviously doesn't know that the A/F on a FI car should be 11.5 - 12.5:1 max. 14.4:1 is way too lean for an FI application IMHO.

From past postings.. bottom line says to stay away from all octane boosters as they can harm the motor and O2 sensors in time. Besides that, they don't work. Lets say you put in the NOS racing brand which should raise your octane 4-7 points. Well if you put 93 octane in, then you'll have 93.4 to 93.7. Its a rip! You're better off getting some good racing gas (100 unleaded) and mix it with pump gas. Don't to the toulene or xylene mixes either.

Like the others said, you're running too lean. Get that fixed ASAP!
