Default APS kit going in.......

Hey all, I know that I fairly new here, but I am really appreciative of how everyone has helped me out so far!!!!

I am working with Mike Norris and he is one hell of a top notch guy!!!!

I have the stock LS1 powered 2000 Trans Am that we are going to install the APS twin turbo kit into. I asked for advice and you all DID provide that for me!!!

I willl do what is smart on this install, I have limited funds and will do what makes sense moving forward. I look forward to everyone here telling me the truth, whether I screw up, or even make the right choice...

What I can promise you, is that I will keep you posted on how I progress and what successes and failures I have. This will help you if you go down the same road.....

More to come folks, more to come.............

They are popping up every and putting down great numbers from what I've seen so far.

What else did you deside to get with your APS kit.

Here is what all I am doing now.....

APS TT kit.
BMR high clearance K-member.
MSD Boost-A-Pump.
60lb Fuel injectors.
NGK TR6 Spark Plugs.
160* thermostat.
Textralia OZ700 clutch & steel flywheel.
New GM Clutch master and actuator/slave assemblies.
GM pilot bearing.
Autometer boost, fuel pressure and wideband O2 in pillar pod.
BMR boxed lower control arms.
T/A differential cover.... maybe the stock rear will last a week or two....

I am hoping to go with either a cut-out or some cat-back exhaust, it will just depend on what other money I can steal from the kid's piggy banks! I really, really need to do Subframe connectors, I hope I can find a way to squeeze them in.

Following the financial recovery, I will work towards a Ford 9" rear, torque arm and start gathering parts for a forged short block. My thoughts right now are to go with a 6.0 block with all forged internals. I still need to study up on this though, before I make any purchases.

Make sure its not the "turbo" high clearance k-member and it is the standard tubular K. Otherwise it will not fit.

Wow, what's up with that? Is the turbo high clearance model K-member for another turbo setup?

Thanks for the tip.

The kit was designed around the older non turbo k member .The new turbo k member is not designed for the aps kit. So just get the right one and save some grief.

I'm ordering the fuelpump from Bob on Monday and I still need to pick up 1 or 2 bends to finish the DP. Just need to get some time to work on her and get a tune.

Good luck with you're build! And have fun with her.

This is a great looking setup. if I was to run a turbo this would be it. Your setup looks like it will be fun.

set up so far doesnt look bad. one thing though. since your doing your build as you go, realize no matter how much you blueprint prices, there will always be things you will need and things you forgot. but again good lookin set up
