Post your input with running SD all the time, please.
I'm considering this, but live in FL where we have high humidity in the summer. I'm working on my tune now, high humidity hasn't hit us yet...suggestions?

I am......even though my car is never up for a long period of time

Just have your tuner tweak it for changes in season.

I am not there yet but I'll be running a SD tune all the time. From my understanding, if you have a good tune you won't have to tweak for temp changes unless you are after that 1-2% spot on tune. This is what the IAT sensor is for. I am not tuning my car so I hope I am right, it will be a one time deal once everything is broken in.

Just depends on how good the tune is. There is correction tables for baro, etc, and iat. So weather changes shouldn't throw you off far enough to ever warrant a necessary tune change.

Yep, been in SD mode for a while and 2-bar SD for the past 4 months. Driven the car 2x from Virginia to Alabama with outside temps ranging from 20-80 degrees. Have not needed to change the basic tune. The MAP sensor notes pressure, so that takes care of altitude changes. The IAT is measuring the intake temp, so that covers the differences in outside air temp too.

BTW, for FI I highly recommend the 2-bar SD mode of operation. It makes for smooth power increase cause you can tailor the VE table for part-boost cells. On the dyno the HP/torque curve looks more like a N/A car than a FI car. No sudden hp/torque spikes or oscillations that are the norm in 1-bar SD or MAF modes.

I've been running my truck in 2bar SD for the last 2 years. Everything from WY winters to AZ summers.

Ive noticed that if the car is tuned at a certain IAT, depending if the IAT goes up or down will determin if the car runs lean or rich @ WOT.At least on my car anyways...

Have had 4 cars SD tuned for years including my wifes turbo truck. Haven't touched them since they were done and if they went way off we'd know because the motors would be blown.Tuned about a dozen more this year in OLSD with no problems as of yet.

My 93 LT1 Camaro was speed density.
My bike has no closed loop operation either, no o2s so I assume is a speed density set up? I have tuning software and hardware for it also "powercommander" affliated with Dynojet. I've taken it from Florida 90+ degree weather at sea level to GA 50 degree weather over 3,000 feet above sea level with no problems. So I'm assuming our cars with SD should be fine if the tune is done correctly. Thanks for your replies.

I've been running a 2 bar SD for a couple of years now....and I'm in S. Fla too. I haven't had any issues, but I do keep an eye on things with HP Tuners. Where are you?

Homestead Florida

You sig says you are running out of fuel with your Racetronix pump.
Another LS1 M6 guy up in Boca says his Racetronix pump wasn't enough either, but guys I talked to with Walbros pushing forced induction say they are good with one Walbro up to 600hp. I'm wondering if Racetronix pump is an issue.
Anyway, I would like to meet up and check out your set up. I just got mine installed a couple weeks ago and still need to finishing tuning. I'm waiting on two pins to run my wideband to my EGR plugs in the ECU.
