Thumbs up ProCharger air to water 1800hp intercooler being added to EPP Camaro

We had ProCharger send us one of their air to water intercoolers. This one is pn# WI1005A-001, which is rated at 1,800 hp max. MSRP on it is $2,699.00. As can be seen, we trimmed out the front of the car to make it fit. Gone is the hood latch assembly, the hood will be getting zeus fasteners to keep it in place. We also ordered up a bunch of 4.0" alum tubing to fab this big boy up.

More pic's can be seen here. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=12 Bob

Because you don't need much cooling in the 3 minutes the motor is running.

Were pushing for shaking it down wendsday and then running the NMCA bowling green race.

It looks very nice, and yes there is quite a bit of fabrication to make this work. In house only

We put it in the nose due to the huge wheelie we pulled at the shoot out, and just trying a few things here and there.

Thats a lot of weight on the front, but it looks as though your car hooks well, lol.

Thanks everyone!

Now we just have to do some more grinding on the underneath of the hood, and run our coolant lines. Bob

pretty cool-i always preferred the surge valve on the inlet side of the ic, so i am bleeding off hot air before it, but on one that big, prob doesnt matter that much

Make sure you put a drain valve on the bottom of the intercooler to drain the water that collects from condensation or you might push a water slug on launch into the motor. That should pick up a ton of power. Our F2 car runs at 40 degree's going down the track at 30psi.

Nope, minor "cutting" involved lol.

We are keeping the f1a still
