Blower Cam Decision, cam options listed
So far my 4 choices are:
1) 218/224 563/568 114LSA 110CL Comp XE
2) 212/216 580/580 114LSA 110CL Lunati
3) 216/224 558/560 114LSA 110CL Lunati
4) 224/230 560/544 113LSA 109CL Lunati
I'm leaning towards #1.
If you like other grinds not listed, plz note & comment on overlap of your recc cam.
If you like #4, plz comment on the overlap.
Thx!
I know the above cams are similar, except #4.
#2 sounds like a bit of stress on the valvetrain.
* Edited #4 for 113LSA.
Even if peak flow is around .530 stock, you want to get them open and stay up there .530+ longer, not just peak at .530 for a sec, eh? Even if the heads max at .530, having a peak lift around .560 would give you more time at max .530+ flow, right?

That cam sounds VERY wicked with the SLP Loudmouth and the blower by the way.
re: the S-Trim and Blower RPM, I'm not sure where it maxes out, but I'm not exceeding any impeller specs. The C5 kits run on a secondary cog system. The LS6 kit has a 34 Tooth Cog, the LS1 has a 30 Tooth Cog and there is an optional 28 Tooth Cog direct from Vortech.
The 28 Tooth should make around 10# on a stock LS1 Motor. I'll run the 28 Cog and past that will run Nitrous if I want more. I don't want to get into belt and pulley headaches past the 28 Cog. You have to start messing with the primary pulleys and could run into slippage. Check out the C5 bracketry setup and secondary cog system. It's very well thought out. Crossing fingers everything lines up well and no belt issues.
HP Goals are modest.
Cam, Long Tubes, S-Trim 10# kit, Air Filter, Ported TB, True Dual Exhaust, LS6 Intake.
Would like to see 575rwhp.
Many C5's are pushing higher than that at 10#.
50 Shot should add at least 75rwhp.
Anything 650+rwhp would be great.
Traction with 335/30-18 street tires will be the limiting factor.
Most likely only nitrous for the highway. Will get used to it. Only want a 5-6# bottle.
