Default 2000+HP LSX Pics

We have made 20 passes on our LSX block with the 106mm turbo pushing 2000hp. We have since then upgraded to the 114mm turbo in hopes of making over 2500hp but found out at the same boost levels we ran with the 106 to the 114 we ran out of fuel system and hurt a head gasket. We decided to pull the motor and check everything over after these 30 passes to see how this new LSX block was holding up. Well here are some pics of the bearings and block. Even making over 2000hp for right at 30 passes the bearings and block still look new. Just thought some of you would like to see this info.

I doubt that the block is grouted. This is good to see that everything is looking good. I do not think you guys have a dial bore gauge to let us know if the cylinders have moved any but everything looks to be squared away! Let us know what Pecos and Bryan @ LME say when ever you guys get it back!

Word from LME is that everything is pretty much staying put. The bores looked great. They are bumping the hone through it for good measure then slapping it back together

Looks good. I probably missed it somewhere but are you running 6 bolt heads? What gaskets?

hmmm.
Zombie incountered the same problem, bigger turbo at same boost requires more fuel.
For some reason my mind thinks it should be the oposite in the bigger turbo would be less backpressure alowing more exhaust gas to exit easier thus letting the piston and cylinder to stay cooler and needing less fuel to stay away from denotation land.

you also have to keep in mind that a larger turbo at same psi is flowing more air. larger opening requires more air to maintain the same pressure, so at same boost levels the larger turbo should generate more power

Well my injector duty cycle went from 82% to 94% at the same boost levels. I know one thing, that 114 mm billet turbo is a bad bitch

You sir are correct. More to due with volume of air. I am sure someone who knows about fluid dynamics can elaborate.
