Default Another low boost OFI pass

I went to an import event and made one pass yesterday before my torque converter bolts came loose. I was on my old fuddle converter while my yank was being sent back for a restall.
3psi launch
1.55 60'
6.5x @ 105 1/8
10.17@138 1/4
7.5psi and 4000# raceweight.

I had intended to try 12-15psi but forgot to bump my eboost2 to the higher setting so i was just on wastegate but I was very pleased with the result on such low boost. Normally i would have retightened the tq conv bolts and made more passes but I was TIRED. The day before I had driven 300 miles round trip to participate in a moutain cruise which was awesome. The Koni DA shocks ride so much better than the QA1s i had and made my 4130# handle pretty darn well! Then i drove 280 miles roundtrip for the import event yesterday so I wanted to just tighten the bolts back up and come home at the end of the day with no more drama.

The ofi kit is still working very well. I am really happy with the car now as it is a good all around streetcar. Its not the best at anything but does several pretty good. I got a/c...dvd...overdrive...tbrake...and a 3.08 gear..Koni DAs...a little of everything which suits me just fine.

My car and goals are very simular to yours, except I have a little smaller turbo and t tops.I would love to see your car sometime, its really cool. Do you ever go to the Canton cruise in on the third saturday of every month? Or let me know when you are going to make a few passes somewhere in the area sometime. It will be a while before I have my car sorted out.

I try to make the cruise ins but with all the things going on around atlanta and family, i dont make them all.

I too am waiting on some high boost runs. The old fuddle was only dropping 500rpms on the shifts so it is actually working well at 7.5 psi but 15psi would blow right thru. prolly have to wait on the Yank to get back before I can throw some *** at it.

here is the 7.5 psi pass...its HD so slow video cards wont play it smoothly

Good to see you out having fun and no major issues, its a lot more fun to make some passes and enjoy the car than to push it hard and try to blow it up everytime at the track. Thats running pretty well for being turned down so far. Thats why I settle at running 9.0-9.50 instead of 8.50-9.0, thats an aweful lot of extra work and chance of hurting something just for half a click of a second hand on a watch

Thanks guys.

KP, I want to push it much harder but just havent had the chance yet. Yesterday was an opportunity and I had planned to do 12-15psi on the next pass but those bolts werent tight enuff so thats how it goes. At least now everything feels "right" and not like its on the edge. I am driving it up to huntsville to the space museum and maybe after that i can hit the track again. I wont catch you or MM but I would still like to run a 9.3x all out.

i got a tci which is what causes the bolt probs. it sits closer to the rear engine cover and my normal bolts hit the rear cover bolts. i will be fine once i get the yank back...i had 6 bolts in it and had no probs.

Hunter, you might have mentioned that earlier

Very nice Jerry! I get by with 3 bolts but use threaded bolts through the TC and use lock nuts on the back of them...so far so good.
