And to the origional poster, your cam is WAY small for a 408. It is about the same as a STOCK C5 Z06 cam with a tad more lift. That's right.....a stock cam for a 346 cube N/A motor. I would reconsider how knowledgeable your builder is if he claims 7k+ rpms and 20lbs of boost with this baby cam.
LOL, ya I know you got one and you like it and thats good but not everyone has the same input. I am a firm believer in a straight or forward split.

....and one of my friends had great success with one.....and I've had several forward splits and single patters......MYSELF. I speak from real world experience.

So like I asked and you failed to mention:

Have you ever ran a reverse split? Do you know someone who has and wasn't impressed? Why don't you like them?

PS---Stenod and Camotion designed my cam so its not like I played some personal hunch I had.

Yes I know, I heard you before, Mr Presidant. I am glad you guys liked your cams. I don't have the first hand experience but I've had reccommendations from several sponsors, members, etc that do. They don't think this they know this from testing. I am not arguing anymore about this, I only gave my opininon. I like the Op's cam spec'd for him, I'll leave it at that.

I do agree on why would the shop tell you the wrong cam though?

Links? I'd love to see the tests. I have personal experience too, and reccomendations from sponsors and they seem to differ from what you claim......oh well.

Sounds good, I am sure not all sponsors have the same opinion as do individuals.

Turbo applications are complex and the cam should be chosen for the entire setup. Not all one size fits all

Your cam is almost identical to the one in my 6.0 L92 twin 66mm build.
(238/242 .610/.610 115lsa+4)
It should work well for you, good luck with the car!

Well damn!! If you guys think his cam is small then I assume mine is super small. Please tell me you guys think it is small due to the size turbo he is using and not due to him running a 402ci setup. My cam is much smaller and spec'd by Patrick G and it works fine. Power peaks at 6500rpm and holds to my 6900rpm redline.. Too big of a cam will kill lowend guys and girls..
