Yeah for sure man. Once I post up that it's running, hit me up with a pm with your address and I'll drive by.

UPDATE: Heads are on, ptv clearance is so good the valves didn't even touch the clay I put on the pistons, pushrod length is right on and I'm getting compression now, I can barely turn it by hand. Just need to bolt back on the intake and blower. Start up looks good for this weekend!

Thanks guys.

Headers and intake went on today. Now it's just the blower and hooking up the misc. stuff before it's ready to try again.

Hey one question for you. I see that you are running the adjustable chain, as a last check, make sure the lower gear has the keyway lined up with the zero advance mark. I see you have the dots lined up, but that means very little is the crank gear is installed in the wrong keyway.

There should be three keyways cut into the crank gear, one for 0 degrees, one for -4, and one for +4.

Good luck!

Well thanks for just about giving me a heart attack, because I didn't remember doing that. Luckly this time around I took more pics so I don't have to pull it all back apart to see. It looks like it's in the 0 slot, I must have done it without really thinking about it. Here's a pic where you can see the slot and where it lines up. If you look close, I had to zoom in, you can see the +2 counter clockwise of the keyway and then a little farther you can see the +6, inbetween the two, the +4 is covered by the oil pump gear but you can see the tip. So from the pic I think it looks like the keyway is on the 0. Take a look and let me know what you think.

I could be wrong but from the picture it looks like its set at -2 degrees on the lower. Is that the keyway on the right of the crank? Dont get worried Im just looking for clarification?

Yeah, I see what you thought, there are two sets of numbers, it's a little confusing. I don't remember my other adjustable timing chain being like that but my memory sucks lol. The numbers on the teeth are for lining up on the dot of the cam gear and then there are another set of numbers on the crank gear closer to the crank that are for lining up with the keyway on the crank.
