. I run a 27 x11.50 QTP Hoosier. 3.70 gear
I bought the car 3 years ago with 2800 miles. Head and cammed the LS1 and raced it for a year, then did the Procharged LS2. The car has 5200 miles on it now, and the LS2 has 875 miles on it. So considering this thread is a year old, the answer to your last question is about 72 miles a month on average, obviously by the condition of its belly I don't drive in the winter, or the rain.
Thanks for the compliments! I don't think it affected my times at all. A couple pages back I showed a repair I did on the last one sometime last year. It was doing O.K. until I spun up the Procharger.
I had another spare I got when I bought someone's 3.5" intercooler kit and Procharger piping/hoses for spares. I got it all for $35 I think from the for sale forum on here. They gave me the plenum for FREE because it was blown up too. Well, I am glad I got it, because after powdercoating mine it is going to be easier to repair.
Here are some pics of mine after it blew on my 9.80 pass.
I spent about 3hrs today welding on this thing after glass beading it. I fixed the original split in it, re-welded some other seems on it and then made some reinforcement pieces to try and keep it from exploding.
Tomorrow I will finish it by installing 2, maybe 4 stansions in it like I did my last one. Then I will get it powdercoated satin black to hopefully make it look cleaner
Here are some pics.
Procharging just wasn't for this car. Changed directions with this one and bought a Procharged race car.

Whatever you do, re-inforce that aluminum plenum box if you run the twin intercoolers and add some better BOV's or better yet go FMIC.
I just this week had my SS hood repaired after a year or so and I was finally able to part with that unnecessary money. Turned out nice though. Water under the bridge.
