Just wanted to make sure it's ok to put the IAT sensor in the air stream before the BOV.

Which side of the ic is more important. We usually put the IAt closer to the tb and the bov before the ic.

Ideally you would want to have the BOV before the intercooler and the IAT after. You want to have the IAT be measuring the temperature of the air that is actually entering the cylinders, so you want it after the intercooler.

Why would you want the BOV before the intercooler?

I see no point in pushing the heated intake charge through the intercooler and heating it up if the air is going to get expelled out. Might as well blow the heated air out before the intercooler.

My BOV on the OFI kit is right before the intake. Due to space I'll be putting my IAT a little before the BOV.

ya IAT sensor should be right before engine so its what the engine gets and like one of the other posts said you do want BOV before intercooler not a huge diffrnce but if it dumps the air before it that much less heated mass that goes to intercooler
