Does this make a squeeking sound at a certain rpm range or just all the time? I am haveing a squeeking from 2000-4000 rpms. I am going to try to start with one thing at a time to eliminate it. I think it is one of the pulleys going bad. Others have told me a belt or the alignment of the pulleys. I have subscribed to the thread and just wondering if you can post what it was when you figure it out.

I had the have the same sound. I had my idler siezed up on the dyno. Apparently the bolt became loose on the back side of the pulley.

Sorry to bring this thread back up but I believe I am having this same issue. Can you clarify what you mean by this washer?

I had the washer that goes on back side of idler pulley backwards so it was dragging.

I have had trouble with this idler for some reason and have to re-grease it when it starts squeaking. Done it about 3 times in 20k miles.

I noticed I did the same thing after I asked this... thanks for clearing this up though!

Now I just need to figure out why my BPV doesn't seem to be working since everything is tight yet zero boost .
