Day 1 Build Ebay Kit
Its snowmobile season now, so the car is under the car cover and sleeping =).
I am going to be buying some property soon, so Ill be moving the car to that garage and getting a heater hooked up. Once that is done, Ill hook up the fogs, and put the mesh on the license plate cover.
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
Just fired the car up, its been sleeping for the past 2 months. Was great to take it around the block and break the tires loose lol.
I need to work on my alternator. The volts are very very low. I need to either get a smaller pulley or get a higher amp alternator.
Another small issue is the steering stem hits the down pipe a little. So when I turn it almost doesnt want to turn the wheel unless you give it a little force. So I may end up going to a performance shop and having them either cut the downpipe and raise it a little, or weld the 2 pipes together and stick the v-band clamp farther down the pipe.

I am holding out on the Speed INC alternator pending your results literally... My PTK alternator has a crappy belt arrangement, but the only real problem is that it doesn't charge enough down low. There is no reason for me to ditch it for a setup with the same issue.
As for getting clear of the knuckle... If you don't have a sway bar it's EASY, just raise the downpipe. If you are keeping the swaybar, about 1/4-3/8" will need to come off of inside of the mount to get the clearance needed to get it to pull up tight and miss the knuckle.
What i may do is going to autozone or murrays and match up an alternator with the same setup, but higher amps. The alternator from the speedinc kit is from a early 90s tahoe so there has to be a higher amp alternator that was stock. Maybe towing package or something?
Aside from the voltage issue, there are 0 belt issues. So once we get a good alternator matched up, we should be golden.

I just cut and raised it up since i'm not using a sway bar since mine hits too.
Still in the process of trying to buy a house down the street from me that I will be renting out. But it has a 2 and a half car garage, that is going to be awesome for working on cars. Once that gets secured, and I get a heater in there, I will start working on the car again.
