Default Official: STS Turbo choice thread.

Ok been searching and trying to gain as much insight as I can before upgrading my turbo. Want to see what you STS guys are running for a turbo.
Right now I have a 60-1 reworked with a bigger exhaust wheel.

I've heard some running a T67, T70, GT35 all with different specs.
What are you running? Manifolds or LT's? What rpm until you reach full boost?

Working well with my 347 with a gt67. Still got the .96 a/r housing, intercooled, longtubes "unwrapped" for right now , wrapped from collectors back to the turbo. I spool VERY quick. Has alot to do with the stall but I was suprised it spooled as fast as it did with all the bashing from everyone about turbo lag. I'm positive it wil spool faster with wrapped longtubes and probably manifolds but I'm happy with my setup.

Like i said before I'm running a TC76 (would be running a 78 if FI was offering it at the time), really cant go wrong with the TC series. They bolt right up more or less (the bigger ones need a bracket to support them), compact package and they're priced well. If you're running a stock size motor a TC70 wouldn't be a bad idea. With a .96 A/R.

You and I have similar set ups, what kind of power at how many lbs of boost does your car make?

From what i have seen

GT67 with 5.5psi + meth and no intercooler = 467whp & 499trq. LS1 6-speed GTO
With header wrap & 8psi with meth this car is easy 500+whp car.

I ran a MP T70 on my 4.3L blazer auto~ Spooled great on a .70 a/r.

would run a .83 on the ls1 but w/e.
