Some info on the build . Its going to be a TC76 Custom rear mount, 347 -26cc mahle pistons and egale rods, stock crank . Traded my 6 speed for a build TH-350 . I already have a 12 bolt but I will be swapinng the gears to probably a 3.08 as of right now .

All work on the car with the exception of the machine work will be done buy me , all the installations ,fab, tunning ,welding .Currently the motor is being built for me .

Today I started on the stuff I can do without the motor .

Hear of some pics of the parts I have compiled at the current moment . I anly need a few more thing to complete the project

-26cc Mahle pistons CR with stock heads is going to be 8.8-1

And this one pretty much contains my entire drivetrain on this bench LOL I have a lot of work to do .

The reson it was cheap . I sold part off my car I didnt need for the build and I only needed another 3500 . I bought a lot of used parts

probably be cheaper in the long run if you used truck manifolds and FM configuration than a rear mount configuration.....I would have gone smaller on the a/r for the TC76 if you are using it for a rear mount set up.

Not sure what you mean in the long run but for me to do a ft mount would have cost me atleat 2k more of the top of my head .

I went with the .81 a/r I dont want it running out of steam to soon . I also have a th350 with a t-brake so I shouldnt see too much lag . I guess we will see

sts kits u run into alot of problems more pipe for leaks oil problems which can be deadly,i went sts first time around and would never do it again to many problems,i spent as much money as if i would of went frount mount, did u do the welding on intercooler if so then a frount mount wont be that hard

Yeah the oil system is a problem I guess cause the long lines and if it rubs on something I am actualy thinking of doing hard lines with short stainless flexable lines on each end .

Besides that with a worst case senerio of blowing the turbo how much am I going to be out money wise if I have a pipe leak . Not much a silicon connector have to weld some more .

I am not using an sts kit I am fabing the whole thing myself ,so yes I did the welding on the intercooler .

Also I have a question about this turbo . It has a tag on it saying it was balanced to 60k rpms . I am pretty sure it should be able to spin faster then that at a much higher boost level .

Eventualy I plan in crancking this thing out . Will this be a problem I know it will only be for a short period of time so thats my guess. Let me know if I am wrong

you can get away with a stock k-member, and might get away with the stock radiator location, but you would still need manifolds, piping, alternator relocation bracket, fans and move the AC

Glad you like the TC unit . With the .81A/R and a TH350 you won't have a problem spooling. Just make sure to pay attention to the oiling system....that is the #1 turbo killer on a rear mount kit.

Thats what I was thinking .

I am definetly going to make the oiling my main concern .
