I'm running a Turbosmart 38mm... One of the few parts on my car that has never given me a problem! lol
I don't know how comfortable I'd be getting it to run only 5 or 6 lbs. I had a lot of trouble trying to get it to remain at 8 psi back when my motor was stock.
If that's REALLY all you want to run, I wouldn't go with the TS 38mm.

i used a Tial 38mm for 8psi and it was perfectly fine. Only time it spiked and did crazy stuff was when i had some gay boost controller on it. Ripped all that stuff off and ran it straight off the wastegate spring (8psi) like i originally had it. It jumps to 8psi, pulls hard all the way and stays there at 8psi. i say go 38mm you should be fine

Yeah for 8 psi, the 38mm might work for you, but he may run into issues triying to hold that down at 5-6 psi. You cant go wrong with the TiAL 44 for your application.

Turbosmart 38mm gate from what I have personally noticed, is that it has more valve lift and in turn, offers more flow from a 38mm gate, vs Tial. If your stuck between either, I would opt for the Turbosmart gate. Personally, I wouldn't bother with either, I would step up to a Tial 44mm gate.

saweet, i just got a price on a 38 mm tial at AIG in MD ( formaly EIP Tuning) and for the 38 it was 225 and for the 44mm it was 325. i think ill just not be cheap and go for the 44 it makes sense.... i just do not want the bitch to spike boost 6 is all i want
now i just need a 50 mm BOV correct?
