are there any advantages to polishing?

are there any advantages to polishing a blower housing? Other than just looking good I'm wondering are there any performance advantages to it? I was thinking it might reflect heat away a bit but I'm not sure.

It is just for looks. If anything, I would think you would take away from the cooling by polishing it. Polishing eliminates all the pores and thus eliminates surface area....not that it would be enough to matter.
