My tuner says its a whole new animal it just doesnt show on the dyno sheet as far as hp.
This was at an average of 11.5 at 16 degrees at 15psi.
Convertors to loose....happens alot with turbo setups...no biggie. Anyway to engage a lock up?

i woudnt expect this to be the case, but any time around that type of system i would keep an eye on your exhaust pressure entering the turbo.

i assume it is maintaining stable boost while the power is 'not showing up'

when i had that kit i was getting huge tq spikes and making no power because it was making no boost. i had a 63mm turbo then tho

Very good point....the log manifold style systems tend to have some backpressure problems. The old QMP kit had the same problem....

The boost is staying steady at 15psi. He said its pulling no problem to 7k,the motor is screaming, afr is solid, iat solid. I guess its just not showing to the wheels. Doesnt make a lot of sense. I guess the track will be the test.

How the heck are those heads staying down? I've heard not even 2 bar is about the max for a stock casting head. Guess time will tell with that kinda power.

Please supply more info about these hybrid turbos you guys are working up that you mentioned a couple posts ago. When this thing goes south or when I decide to spend some cheese and make huge power I'll be interested in something similar.

We did 825/847 the other day with a stock 6l, so its possible. It was moving a slight bit of water though.

Yeah his setup is the same thing I guess except for a little smaller displacement. It's not the most reliable setup as far as the motor, but he wanted to see what he could push on the dyno. On street driving I'm sure it will be turned down a bit...lol

The new units use the same basic exhaust side so all flanges and feed line and drain line will hook right up. Only real difference where some routing will change would be the compressor cover is the race cover which has 4" inlet and 3" outlet. Its a bad boy indeed....

You can't trust dyno numbers with a stalled auto, they are for tuning only. I have trapped 130mph with 470 RWHP (uncorrected) with a 3850lb car. The only thing you can do is run it at the track and then figure out what your average HP is by using the MPH and weight of the car. That will give you a much better idea of what kind of power you are making. 130MPH traps on a 3850lb raceweight = about 680 peak rwhp. So somewhere between reality and the dyno I lost 200 rwhp

Log your car on the 2-3 shift to see how much of a drop in RPMs you are getting. If it's dropping less than 600 rpms the converter is too loose or the the trans is slipping.

M6, but Dana rear.....I don't think the 10 bolt would even hold on the dyno...lol.

When I had the old TTi log style kit my backpressure ratio was 3:1.....(!!!) This was @ 15PSI w/ 3" DP. T76 GTQ turbo..

Im picking it up tonight. The tuner took it out and said its insane compared to the last turbo (pte67mm). Ill be at the track next week to see what this thing can run.

I did a 10.8@122 with the pte67.

How extreme can you get with a TC76f1 is the only upgrade turning it into a TC78 or can you swap on a different cover with a 3" outlet?

I just picked the car up. This thing is a beast. I hit it at 60mph in 3rd and it actually broke the tires loose.

My only issue is that right at about 5900rpm in 3rd at 100mph it sounds like its breaking up alittle. Its not smooth any more. I wonder if its a minor ignition mis, probably a wire?
