Talking how much power can I expect?

I finely got my 96 GT sold and I'm starting my new project turboing my WS6. I just bought the HP performance stage 1 turbo kit. The turbo that comes with the kit is a 60mm garrett turbo with a .96 A/R. And I'd like to run around 7psi on my stock engine would this be safe with a good tune? Also what kind of power can I expect from 7psi? Oh and I havnt decided on a clutch yet do you guys have any suggestions?

Any input is appreciated

Thanks

Seems like a baby turbo for a 5.7l motor. I'd say your lucky if you surpass 500whp with supporting mods.

Thats base STS territory. 7 psi should be good for atleast 500 though with the right mods. It's been done on STS cars. With some meth and/or an intercooler and a good safe tune it should last for a while.

It is a touch on the small side though, 67+ would be better.

I'd say you will see an increase of 150 rwhp with 7 psi of boost. With 60 lb injectors, a fuel pump and a good tune you shouldn't have any problems.

I'd go with the Spec Stage 3+ clutch and pressure plate along with the steel flywheel.

Hopefully you get your turbo kit in a timely manner. We had a terrible time dealing with HP years ago. Check out this Z06 we build using one of their twin turbo kits.

I would say you would be somewhere between a 74 Ford Pinto and top fuel RED As Bob said, a 150 rwhp is not out of the question with a good fuel system and tune.
