lets use iron heads

lets use iron heads gOTCHA LOOKIN! Why not use 6.0 iron heads? I know they will retain more heat but wouldn't this solve the problem of the heads warping between the studs? I wish someone would give this a try since they are so cheap. Any thoughts?
Re: lets use iron heads I do not run different metal heads to block, like in any iron block, I would run iron heads, aluminum block = aluminum heads, the metals heat and warp differently, and if un matched, thats what will cause the big problems of cracking, gasket falure, ect...

And next i havent heard to many warping heads latly. The only one ive ever heard to warp a head was raymer, he's making that much power now and isnt haveing an issue., which makes me believe that it was his old (ed right) tune.
Harlan hasnt had a problem with his heads warping, making that 700rwhp on the stang dyno.
We will have to see later when he gets his new set up together what happens.

Re: lets use iron heads We will see if it was a tuning issue with Rob's old motor in the next 6 months. I am going to be using the 404 with either a DFI or Motec setup and plan to have the car up and running with that combination by the beginning of the year.
