Worlds First Butt Mount CTS-V
#42
where can u get a procharger "INSTALLED" with tune and headers &
full exhaust for 7 grand??? I guess just let me know how much eddie actualy charges you
this is a cadillac cts-v... it's far from anything you know about cameros and firebirds. Let me fix that ......GTO and vettes , Your right I have no hands on experience with a CTS ,but I guess thats such a one of LSX platform id be stumped
also, with my butt mount gt60 i'll get that(480-500whp) at 8-9psi.
gt67 at 6psi. stock ls2 has high comp. out of the box...
How do you know . also Schantin your car was a 5.7 motor his motor flows much more and will shoot that small turbo right into a very unefficent territory on a compressor map . If you go with the 60 your turbo and motor will pump the same amount of air. Small changes like the exhaust your doing will make you motor able to pump more air then the turbo can ,the turbo will become a restriction .
this isnt a high boost race application, this is for streetability and
performance at a higher level...most of my "V" BRETHREN run maggies,
(with great success)
I was just kinging about the maggies , I know they sold a lot

i don't have the ability to see into the future but i do
trust my tuners abilities to make the requested horse power
goals i set, based on the many ls2 motors he's subjected to
rear mount, procharged, and maggied appications that all
perform well.

you have some valid points that will remain to be seen,

i do appreciate the offer but, i do have access to a gt67 that one of
MM's better customers is letting go do to upgrading his system
(he has forged bottom end and outgrew the gt67). it's been installed at
the shop and i know it's history and exact age, i would be benifitting
myself and the gt67 owner for my upgrade
as well as his. thank you though, for thinking about this project.

and, the build date may just get bummped up, to
get it done next month. i will know more over the
weekend.

i'm in with the service mngr...we're old family friends.
but, he can't explain a hole in the piston with a stock
tune/power, so if i do have a complete motor failure,
yah, i'm assed out...but, that's a small price to pay for
being the worlds first rear mounted turbo cts-v.

^ thanks for the vote of confidence.
i'm in this for the same reason you are, making a one off project
to give the "critics" one more thing to keep them awake at night,...
trying to somehow make the fact thier childhood late night sneaky uncle
scandle, should some how be my problem.
LONGRANGE4U, you are on spot with the numbers and turbo's in
question for this build...what motor/mods are you running?
also, what psi with the old and new combo? and m6 or auto?

Garbage welds is right kid next door can do the same. Alot of money deserves good workmanship. Good luck, my buddy had one until he let his girlfriend take to work and slammed it on I-95. That car is badass!

thanks for the positve info...much appreciated!
as for your crappy welds and what you don't like
comments, i would rather have "crappy welds" then loose sections of pipe &
hose clamps which= more issues/leaks to track down...let me see
what u runts can fab,...not to mention make hp/tq numbers on one off custom builds like that shop does. maybe when u personally get asked to tune for a well know racer and salad dressing maker,lol... then i'll allow you to shyt on work you could'nt do on your best day. thank you for your understanding in this matter.
thats all i have to say about that.
