ok im ordering my 4 link kit with a 9 inch rear ... my setup will be

5.3 truck motor ls6 intake mpt70? or larger

a 6 speed trans
in a 3000 pound 67 nova

what gears should i run??? i can run any thing from a 2.75 to a 4.98

i was thinking of a 3.55 ish ????

i dunno how these 6 speeds are ...

i have a turbo mustang with a 5 speed and 3.73 gears and it rips through gears faster than i can shift or build boost .. atleast the first 2 gears are worthless but it may be diffarent with a 6 speed what u guys think

How fast do you want to go? Some people seem to think gearing will spool the turbo faster but most hardcore racers gear their cars for the mph they want regardless of the type of induction.

I went with a 3.25 and noticed a bit of a differance from a dead stop in first gear. I would say unless your building a mostly roll race car go with a 3.50.

Are 3.73 ok? reason I ask is because I had 3.73 when I was auto, swapped to a t56, dont really know the difference in feel. Car drives ok, but if it would run better with a 3.50... ran 137.8 mph babying it off the line.
