The main factor is how much of a lead foot you have

It's at around 11.0. If you spray a lot of alky, you need to move that AFR down a bit...

Do you mean fattening up the mixture into the 10's? Why?

Thanks

With meth, I can only run 15 degrees of advance at only 8 PSI. The AFR reading goes from about 11.5 down to 10.5 when the meth is on.

I think one of the key factors on how much timing/boost you can run is the static compression ratio. My LS2 is still at the stock 11:1 comp ratio, so I can't run much boost/timing. Before the meth, I could only run 8 to 9 degrees of timing, and even then, it still set off the knock detector. (And ran like dog poo)

My personal opinion is you can inject A LOT of meth before it becomes too much. Maybe it'll slow down a bit from being too fat, but I like to err on the side of safety. Cheaper that way.

I'm running stock ls1 with t76 at 9psi maybe around 500whp. Running no intercooler and 12 gph nozzle. Just did a pull today its 85 degress outside and humid. My temps got up to 140 degrees during a two gear pull. Without the meth I'm sure I'd be way over 200 degrees but I'd like my temp down at 110 so I don't get timing pulled. I guess I may need to run dual nozzles.

Lets here from some more people, what gph nozzles are you guys running?

(AIS kit)I have run three 14gal/hour at once to keep the iat down, that takes alot of pure alky every pass, so i went back to two, intake temps didnt really move much but it leaned out just over a 1/2 point afr
f1 maxed out 16psi 40deg timing ( that was on my bbc truck) little diff. from my goat
1 15gal/hour temps stay in low 60s on 90deg day

The stoich afr is much richer for meth, however most people can't or do not configure their wideband gauges to account for the meth. However the wideband sensor does know where the true stoich point is no matter what fuel mixture you are using, and when it sees stoich it will relay 14.7 to the gauge assuming you are running gasoline. In reality you really are running stoich but the afr numeric value shown on the guage should be reading a lower number becuase of the meth.

In summary, if you are reading an afr gauge setup for gasoline and you tune for 11.0 you will still be same percentage away from stoich (safely rich) on both straight gas or a mixture of gas meth.
