Default Fuel rail question

What is the best fuel rail kit for the money. Like scorpion or fast ...........

Aeromotive makes a great kit too. Used it on my brothers GTO and they looked great and only took about 45-50 minutes to install. Here is a link to the kit:

I just got my Billet rails from Speed inc. They are blue and look awesome. Prices seemed to be less than most.

There are many nice fuel rails out there, find one you like and go with it. The only thing I would recommend is that you look for rails with AN #8 O-ring boss fittings on the ends instead of NPT.

AS FAR AS I KNOW, the FAST, Aeromotive, RevXtreme, and I think Nasty rails meet this recommendation.

^^ what is wrong with the NPT vs the rubber oring setup?? I just used some liquid teflon on the threads and tighten em up.

Nothing wrong the NPT, it's just harder to assemble and not as compact as ORB. Personally, I prefer ORB over NPT.

I did notice that today getting my setup assembled. 1 question I need to ask though is I will be having a custom rear crossover line made, I opted not to purchase a kit with the rails. Will I clear the oil pressure sending unit using (2) -6 90 degree fittings in the rear with the line straight across with a fast intake? Thanks again ZO6.

i used the professional products kit on mine, came with regulator and lines, everything you need, lookis nice, works great and very good price. i paid 190 off ebay new in box + shipping

I seen those. Does the company offer and flow numbers on the rails to compare them. I think fast would complement my fast 90/90 intake

Absolutely, it will clear; except, on a FAST intake you need a 90 and a 45 degree to crossover in the rear. The drivers right rear of the intake intercepts the fitting, not allowing the line to connect. Ask me how I know.....

Please excuse the dust on the intake. I also prefer to do my own plumbing versus buying kits. These are Aeromotive rails with Goodridge, Earls, and XRP fittings. This is a 10mm aluminum hard line crossover from Goodridge using AN to hard line adapters. I put Goodridge fire sleeve over the hard line to help insulate it.

When comparing after market fuel rails there are no flow numbers, per se. Compare the ID of the rail to determine it's flow capabilities. FAST and Aeromotive rails have a 5/8" ID that supports in excess of 2500 HP with AN 8 ORB on the ends. The Professional Products rails have a 3/8" ID and NPT on the ends that will support most anything you can throw at it on the street. It's also worth noting the FAST and Aeromotive are .250" shorter than the Professional Products rails; the extra length of the PP rails is a deal breaker on C5's.

idk the numbers, the fast rails on the fast intake would be a good combo for sure. iam around 370 hp with no problems with fuel or anything, they use 3/8 npt on boath ends i used -6 but they also come wit -8 fittings

can you bore out the PP rails to 5/8's or is that just not safe

Do not use teflon paste, it may seal to begin with but will eventually leak. Tape works better.

The RevX rails have 3/4" inner bore gun-drilled and the fittings are O-ring and have tapered transition (not stepped) to prevent cavitaion & aireation during hign flows. Mounting stands are also billet for ridgidity instead of stamped steel that can flex.....but the price is quite a bit higher than some of the other good quality ones mentioned above. For most HP builds below 700 hp these features are not really needed.

It would be more trouble than it's worth. You would also have to re-tap the ends and there isn't much there. They would be too thin for NPT fittings.
