Default E85 Compatable Fuel Pump for 800RWHP Recommendations

I was intending to use my 2 Bosch pumps in series but after some reading it seems they apparently aren't E85 friendly.

I'm running -8 up to the Y block split into two -6's running 75lb injectors and a -8 return. Is there a single intank that would work. I'd prefer to stay with a intank if possible but I'm not sure I want to fart around with 2 pumps if I don't have to.

Is there Supporting Vendor who has both the right recommendation and pricing.

Thanks

Dennis

We offer dual Walbro pump setups that will be perfect for your application. The fit and function just as factory and are 100% reliable. Give me a call I will get you setup.

Quoted from the Attached Factory Bosch pdf.

"Bosch Fuel Pumps are designed for use with standard grade petrol. Subject to statutory warranties, Bosch does not warrant
the performance characteristics or specifications of these fuel pumps if they are used with Alcohol or Ethanol based fuels or
fuel additives that are corrosive."

This kind of summed it up for me. I had already modified the basket to fit two Bosch pumps in series but just thought I should double check the Manufactures opinion of use with E85.

So it should look something like this minus the hoses. I'm going to mount the pump to the frame rail and use the factory basket with the sock at the bottom of the basket for the pick up. I might but a sock on the return end too just to spread the return stream out a little.

Got the MagnaFuel from Nate at a very fair price. The other two pieces are from Pegasus Racing.

It specifically states e85 OR fuel additives that are corrosive. It doesn't state or imply that e85 is corrosive the way I read it.

I'm not so sure on this one -- you had better call Maganafuel and see if they recommend the use of that "little filter sock" before their pump. I know with mine, I do NOT.

Plenty of people on here have ran the 044 pump with E85... Take it for what its worth. E85 is not corrosive.

Not trying to be a ***** but you obviously didn't read it too closely. It doesn't state that E85 is corrosive. And I've got no reason to take a risk when there are other pumps that will handle E85 without voiding the pumps warranty.

That I can not answer, I sell another brand (none that have been mentioned here). I would recommend calling the pump manufacturer -- the only things that concerns me with that "filter sock" is that does it have the same flow cpabilities as the pump and is there enough filter surface area to prevent pre-mature filter clogging or failure.
