Default stock fuel rails

How much HP will they support on a turbo LS1? And does anyone make adapters to an AN line?

I made a little over 600rwhp with twin in-tank pumps, stock lines, rails and stock fpr @ 60psi with the D1SC @ 12psi. I'm sure it would have handled much more but I upgraded the lines and added a return style soon after.

Thats good, we won't be trying to make too much more than that. Trying to do a muscle car conversion with twins tryin to use as much stock stuff as we can...

They are good for at least 1200 hp on gas. I'm making 900ish hp on e85 on a stock style fuel system. Stock fuel line as well.

What does your stock style fuel system consist of? Is this simply a twin fuel pump with larger injectors?

Wow, you've got a sweet set up. I'm doing an E85 set up on stroked LQ9 block with L98 heads and a stock LS3 intake/fuel rails. It's getting a little help from a single 78 mm turbo. It's going in a Nissan 300zx twin turbo car. I'm trying to firgure out if my stock lines are OK, or what size I need to upgrade to. What diameter lines are in your set up feeding the stock fuel rail? What fuel pressure regulator are you running? Does it return to tank? What brand and size infectors are you running? I really appreciate any info you could help me out with. Thanks!

I'm interested in this one as well. Hate to drop a grand in a whole new system when the stock one would have supported the power to begin with.

Yeah. Its hard for me to believe that SOOOOO many people upgrade to aftermarket rails if the stock rails are good for 1200hp.

BUMP FOR MORE INFO.

Wow, what an incredible bit of info for me....I would have fell victim to upgrading for no reason at all as well. I mean now I'm looking at my build up in a slightly different way. A little flashy paint on the stock rails and PRESTO my rail upgrade is complete. LOL....ULTRA KOOL more dough to diverge into another direction. TKS for info guys!

I've been searching for HP limits on stock LS1 rails + stock 3/8" feed line for a while... my plan is simply to use OEM V6 f-body feed and return lines eliminating the tee-block/return setup in the back, and with a fuel pressure regulator immediately after the rail while losing the OEM regulator in the tank.

Here are some threads/posts I saved that convinced (and continue to remind me) the aftermarket is pretty much a big waste of my money when it comes to my humble 700-800 RWHP goal:

I don't know if its in any of the links above, but I read the only reason high HP cars came with or needed super-thick feed lines and girthy rails is because they had the fuel pumps mounted in the front of the car and ran lower fuel pressure. Hopefully someone else can chime in with more info and physics to prove or disprove this.
