Default Do I need injectors? H/C set-up

I just got done installing my cam and i plan on tuning next spring. My buddy has a set of slightly used 36 lb/hr injectors I can buy cheaper than new and wondering if I should install them before I waste the time going to dynotune 2.5 hours away to find out my stock 28 lb/hr are maxed.

Mods in sig but heres another breakdown:
- CNC ported LS6 heads, 11.1 compression
- Texas Speed 228R cam 228/228 .588/.588 112+2
- Pacesetter 1 3/4" longtubes with ORY and TSP rumber cat-back
- stock LS6 intake manifold
- ported throttle body
- SLP lid
- stock MAF
- stock tuning

Here is the problem. If you change the injectors WITHOUT CHANGING THE TUNE, you stand a chance at damaging your engine.

N/A you will be fine, I would buy his injectors, take your car to the dyno, see what your stockers are at % wise, then install those 36#ers get it tuned and go from there. As you may do more mods later, this sets you up for a nice 440RHP range or so with those 36# injectors

Can you put the injectors in and then immediately drive to get the tune? Or are you risking damage?

Going from 28s to 36s is too much to not have a base tune for them done. Drive to where ever your getting tuned at, and swap them out there and let the tuner put a new base tune for the injectors in before you even try to start it.

do not RUN your car without having it properly tuned for the injectors.

I really do not understand why this question keeps coming up... you stand a chance at washing down your motor.

it really doesn't take that long to swap injectors, whether aftermarket rails or factory.

-sorry, I have seen this question many of times and want this to turn up when people search or try and read for it.
