help! fuel pump will NOT turn on
so 1st of all my fuel level gauge doesnt work, may be unrelated. so i keep up with my miles and fill up when ive gone about 250 miles. A few days ago my car died, i thought maybe i somehow ran out of gas. i put gas in...no luck. had a friend come get me with his enclosed trailer and take it to his shop. i thought the fuel pump was bad and put in a racetronix 255. The car started up fine and i drove 20 minutes home. The next day i started my car to let it warm up, and when i come back out of the house its not running, key is still on. I hit the key and it started right up. The car died one time on the way to work, but i turned the key off and back on and it started right up. On the way home from work the car died and will not start.
So...Car cranks but does not start.
Fuel pump does NOT prime.(no noise, no pressure at schrader valve)
I think maybe an extreme overheat condition will kill the fuel pump....but its not hot.
Extreme low oil level may cause the fuel pump to be shut off....but its got plenty of oil.

i would say the fuel pump is shot, you can try have someone bang on the fuel tank from underneath with a rubber mallet while someone cranks the engine. i have done that in the past to diagnose a bad fuel pump. also you can remove the relay and see if you can jump the terminals to power up the pump.

If you just put in a new pump... Look for the obvious first.
Im pretty sure you didnt solder/heatshrink the power or ground wires. Maybe a crimp pulled out. Either way double check your work again.
