Default Fuel PSI @ WOT?

I just installed an Autometer fuel PSI gage on my M6 01 SS. My fuel rail PSI with normal driving is 60 PSI but it goes to 54 PSI at WOT, I thought my WOT PSI is not suppose to fall below 55 PSI. How low does my fuel rail PSI pressure have to go before It's too low? I have a cam, headers W/ all the bolt on's making a little over 400 HP to the wheels N/A so I thought I should still be safe on a stock fuel set up. With the slightly low (what I believe to be low) fuel PSI Is that an indication that I should start looking into upgrading my fuel pump already with only 400 HP to the wheels? Thanx in advance.

That's not at all unusual. Get worried if your FP drops below 50 PSI or especially if you note that you find that you're running lean.

I actually used to run 500 RWHP+ at less than 50 psi (about 45 as I recall.) I was able to adjust so that it wasn't running lean but to do this I hade to run my bank 1 side run richer than my bank 2 (the first rail was getting the fuel first and thus was seeing a little better FP.) I upgraded my fuel supply to bring the pressure back up to around 55 psi and that took care of the B1/B2 discrepency.

Thanx for the reply colonel. I guess I'll replace the fuel system when I get nitrous on the car just to be safe.

65PSI, Wow, thats pretty good but I dont think It's the filter due to the fact that I only have 16K miles on the car and I use cheveron gas w/techron. Maybe If It's not too expensive I can just replace it anyway.

54 psi sounds okay, I would see 58 at idle and about 55 psi at idle.

I had one pump that was 35 at WOT that was no good.

Thanx for the reply, I'm not too woried about it now, I think I have a good idea now what is bad, moderate, and good fuel pressure from doing a search and reading colonel's and other knowlegable peoples past post.
