Fuel pressure Drop?
I have 2001 camaro with the racetronix kit and the hotwire,My fuel pressure at idle is 62 lbs but when im at full throttle it drops down to 50 lbs and stays there till I let off.Do I have a fuel pressure drop problem?I was under the asumption that it would stay rock solid or only lose a lb or 2 when full throttle.Car makes 500+rwhp on motor and I spray with a 150 shot.

My car does the same thing. Idles at 62psi, WOT 52lbs. I recently added 90 rwhp with my 418 LS3 and Fuel Pressure still does the same thing.
I think it is something to be aware of but my logs show that it is normal for my system. An upgraded system with larger pumps, lines fittings, and fuel rails would not show the same PSI drop. I would be concerned if the FP continued to drop as the load increases.
That said, it is always a good idea to have a good saftey margin especially with forced induction/ N20.
I have a pressure sender mounted on the fuel rail and check the pressure every once in a while.
My racetronics pump and hotwire kit seems to be meeting my needs for now.
If your going to add a 150 shot to a 500 RWHP, I don't think the racetronics pump is going to cut it. You need to make sure you have enough extra fuel for that N20 system. You don't want to run lean with the N20 on.
Just my .02

OF COURSE this is the wrong answer. You have to upgrade your fuel pump. setup. If you wanna run a boosta pump that will work or just go with a better fuel pump or possiby a dual intank setup.

We did answer your question above. It is normal b/c of your fuel demands and the location of the factory regulator.

It is not a case of opinion here. It is a known technical fact based on what the fuel system can support and what your motor's demands are. You are on the edge. A bit more and you will see much more drastic fuel pressure drop-off which is an indication your have totally tapped out your pump and the system has fallen out of regulation.
