Default Dual Walbro install pics

Just wanted to post up some pics of my dual walbro setup. I couldn't find a Y fitting that would work and fit so I went with the T route. We will see how well it flows. I think when I switch to E85 I will have the Y out side of the fuel tank and just use bulkheads coming out of the tank for each pump.

Ill finish the wiring tonight and give them a test run while they are still out of the tank to make sure nothing leaks.

P.S. crappy cell phone pics

Yes the bucket fits on there and then I will reinstall the filter socks so they are underneath the bucket. I just didn't snap a picture of it. I will get some more/better pictures tonight when I finish it.

For the bucket I cut out the bottom, cut a large hole on the flat side of the bucket and additional smaller holes on the curved site.

do you have to have a one way valve in between one of the pumps so it doesn't
pump fuel back through the other pump?

The Walbro pumps have an internal check valve that will prevent any backflow.

One question I had was what if those heatshrinks leaked? Would their be a fire danger?

why would it be a danger there is not one electrical connection sealed in the pump setup anyways.

Thats was my thought as well, I am confident about it just didnt know the whole electrical dynamics of it all.

It took me about 1 hour to pull the tank, another hour or so to pull the pump and disasemble, and hour to modify the bucket and install the dual pumps and another 30mins or so to solder and install the wiring(I have not run the hot wires from the alternator yet).

You could have it done in a day if you worked on it for 4-5 hours, I did research for a good 2-3 days before I even started so I knew exactly what needed to be done.

I have seen stock pumps with exposed connections on both hot and ground inside fuel tanks before.

what are you going to use to turn on the second pump, or are you going to run them both together all the time?
