Default fuel pressure is 48psi after pump primes

The fuel pressure is at 60 when the pump primes then it drops down to 48. Should it stay around 60psi?

My regulator is a 99 vette regulator/filter. And the fuel pump is internal It came with the spectra tank I bought.

Should the fuel pressure not drop down to 48psi like that? What would cause that to happen?

I checked it this morning it will be at 60 when primed then drop to 45 and it will slowly keep dropping. Is that normal too?

Your pump is on its way out, This happened to me 2 years ago and you don't want to be driving it either, it will die on ya. This will happen, trust me.

Thanks. Could this be why my motor is having problems starting? It gets fuel but it won't spark. I was thinking it could be cause of the lack of fuel pressure.

If it primes to 60, does it stay there when you crank it?
If not, it may be that there is no power from the start side of the key sw.

It stays at 45 when it cranks over. Also I replaced the ignition switch.

when I turn my key on and it primes, it goes to 55 and drops to 50. when I start it, idling it runs right at 60-62. If your staying around 60 or so when running I wouldn't worry about, if you drop when you just turn the key on it's prob. fine. As long as it's not that low running.
