Default Ok whats my fueling issue...???

Well 1998 formula loses power after 4k and pops like its lean. So i threw a guage on it and its at like 58psi during idle but if i stab the throttle and bring it past 4k or so the pressure drops quite a bit like down to roughly 15psi i dont really want to hold it there with the TB blade half open cause i dont want to lean it out bad.

So whats my issue? Fuel filter, fuel regulator, fuel pump anything else...?

I have been having a slight overcharging issue with my alternator when it is cold if that makes a difference but that clears up quickly. I doubt its the filter cause i replaced it about 10k ago and this problem came about pretty suddenly but ill throw a new one in there just for good maintenance.

replace the fuel filter and test again. If it is the same then you need a pump.

Yeah I think my plan of action is to toss Another filter in there and see what that does since its so cheap and easy. From there I will move on to the pump or regulator.

I was having an issue with my car chocking at 3500 rpm's and I checked the filter.....I could not even blow thru it. It was 90% closed up. Do the filter first.

Now you need to make the choice of dropping the tank or cutting a hole above the tank so you replace the pump..........

why do you say the pump and not the regulator? Just wondering. I Would it be a good idea to put a new regulator in it while im in there or no?

yeah it will be the trapdoor method for sure since its already been cut when i bought the car. I also should have said i ran out of gas about a week or so ago due to my gauge being off if that would effect anything.

The regulator caps pressure, that's it. Pressure is normal until you demand a reasonable amount of fuel, that means the supply line is running dry because the pump cannot keep up.

Ahhhhhhhhh now I see. You ran the pump dry. I did that once........under warrenty and they replaced the pump for free and told me to never run it dry, that will kill the pump.
