Default Bosch 044 For $99 Shipped?

Found this on ebay, seems too cheap to be a real one? Any thoughts from the experts?

Sounds too cheap. If it's new, where's the box ?

And cant see the writing. It should be stamped into the housing. Apparently the copies have the writing etched on, a bit like a dot matrix printer. Not full letter stamps

Chinaman knock-off. They don't claim it to be genuine.

I guess you are possibly factually correct depending how you view it.

It doesnt actually state it is a Bosch pump, you're right there but it does "cross reference" or "interchange" as they state.

But the very first line of the advert does state 044, and also the full Bosch part number.

I wonder does that cover them from a legal point of view ?

They are blatantly advertising it as what appears to be a Bosch pump.

That's nothing new, and not just fuel pumps.

very true

I'm loathe to buy anything off egay these days.

Although sometimes it is handy and cheap. Although for some little things, Ive found Amazon to be much cheaper and more reliable. And it means Egay doesnt get any money.

Thanks! So what's a fair price for a real one? I've seen them from $175-ish to almost $300.

Did you bother to ask them if it is a real Bosch? If they say yes then they are responsible.
