Question Questions about dual pump on 98 ws6

Hey guys I just bought a supercharger and have to upgrade my stock 98 fuel pump on my 98 ws6. I also bought a rail kit that came with a new regulator. I could probably get by with a single walboro and hotwire, but while I've got it apart I figure I might as well go ahead and do the dual pumps, but I have a few questions I would appreciate some help with.

I know the stock regulator is in the tank, but I would like to use the new FPR in the engine bay. How do I bypass the factory FPR?

I know the 98's are a little different then other years, how should I run my return?

Can some one explain exactly where to cut the trap door on a 98?

Thanks guys

the regulator is held in place by the spring clip. The clip is easy to remove releasing the regulator.

Drop the tank, I wouldnt cut up your car. Use the factory and a single 340 lph for the time being until you get SS braided lines and can do the whole fuel system.

Is it ok to run dual pumps in the stock fuel lines or does it completely defeat the purpose? Would a single 340 pump work just as well?

I have lonnies dual pump kit with hobbs switch on my 98. Mine is a stock 347 with a D1SC and 60lbs injectors. Im using stock regulator, lines, and rails currently with no issues making 515whp. Although i am building a LS3 to go in the car and at that time i am replacing the rest of the fuel system but keeping the dual pumps and 60lbs injectors.

So you need to know how much your car is going to make now. And how much your going to make in the future...Once you answer those questions the choices are much easier.

It will work to approx 700rwhp before you need to upgrade your lines/regulator.

Thanks for the help guys. I think I'll go ahead and do the dual pumps. It will be more than enough with stock lines for now. I might push 700hp one day, but that's a while away. Thanks

One more thing. Since mine is a 98 and I don't have a bucket around my fuel pump could I make the walboro 400lph pump work? If it would that would eliminate having to run relays and some of the wiring. Thanks again

you can fit 1,2,3 walbro's in there if you hold your tongue right

a single 400 i imagine will fit, never seen one.

i would bypass the factory wiring if two walbros or a single larger pump, the wiring is puny and prone to failure.

easy to unclip the reg out of the hanger but harder to plumb a new return line
if you are gonna plumb a new line might as well be a new feed and use the stock feed as return.

Do I a tally have to plumb any lines or can I just run the 400 on the stock feed and return?
