Where exactly do you cut the trap door on a 98 fbody?

Yes, the location of the pump assembly in relation to where you make the cut should be about the same IIRC. Cut a small hole first about where you think it is and go from there.

I did it like this and was happy I did an ''L'' shaped cut for easy access. Thats the only way to go IMO

Default 1984 camaro z28 fuel pump

I'm not a pro mechanic bought a new fuel pump I pulled out the old one but I see no pump or hose to pull the gas.. I don't understand.
