Ive done a search, but I cannot find one answer. I picked up a set of 98 LS1 injectors, which are 28.6 from what Ive read. Im running them on a Ford 5.0 injection setup. Is the 28.6 lb rated at 58psi, 43.5psi or 39psi? I need to know this to determine what fuel pressure to run. I know the SVO injectors are rated at 43.5psi. Can anyone agree on one answer? Thx guys.

most injectors are rated using 43.5psi so unless GM has done something different the 28.6lb rating is at 43.5psi. injectors will flow more than there stated rating at higher fuel pressures so a 28.6lb injector rated at 43.5psi will flow around 34lb at the 58psi range.

LOL! So the question still remains. Are these GM injectors rated at 28.6lbers at a fuel pressure of 43.5 like normal injectors or at LSx 58psi fuel pressure?? Ive gotten two different answers here. Can anyone please confirm?

GM LS1 injectors are rated at 4 Bar (58psi). Most every other injector is rated at 3 Bar (43.5psi).

A friend of mine swears that these injectors are rated at 39.5psi, which he says GM rates these at. I just want some confirmation thats all, can anyone show me some proof? Ive got several opinions at this point, and Im not sure what to believe. I would think the LS1 guys would know what their injectors are rated at because if they are rated at 43.5 or 39.5 they would be much more than 28.6lb injectors. Anyone else?? I'd appreciate it.

I want to know this too, I just put in 30# SVO injectors and now I'm wondering if it was even a worthwhile mod.

SVO's are rated at the Ford specs, so when you run them at 58psi they will be close to 36#.

Well damn, I really figured Id get a straight answer here. Im just gonna assume these injectors are rated at 43.5psi. Unless I see proof of otherwise. I woulda thought the LS1 guys woulda known their own injectors.

The LS1 28.8lb injectors may actually be rated at 24lbs in Ford applications. Check the following site if someone can give you a part number for the 28.8lb'ers. The site is listing the lbs for Ford applications.

Example, the stock 26.4lb injectors from my car are rated at 22.4lbs according to the site. You can search the link for the 26.4lb part number, 0280155890 to see what I am saying.

If you run a LS1 28.6# injector at 43.5psi, it will only flow as a 24.9# injector. If you do not believe me, swap them on to an LT1 or a Jeep.

The GM injectors for LS1 and LS6 engines are rated to flow 28.6lb/hr at 58psi or 4 bar. The Ford SVO 30lb/hr injectors are rated to flow 30lb/hr at 43.5psi or 3 bar. The Ford SVO 30lb/hr injectors flow about 35.6lb/hr at 58psi or 4 bar. The GM injectors are rated to flow around 21lb/hr at 43.5lb/hr or 3 bar.

Thx for the replies guys, helps alot. I am goin to the track tomorrow to test these new injectors. I was running SVO 24lbs, and swapped to the 28.6lbs because they were cheap and what do I have to lose? I only want about a ~24lb injector so assuming these are rated at 58psi(4bar) I will run these at 41psi and do some tuning. Thx guys and I'll post some results.

This is the best I could've wrote. Have you ever checked ur FP?? I have a stock pressure of 63psi....why would they rate them using a ford system for vehicles that probably won't ever see such high FP's...
