it is not a question of street legal, it is more a question of is the hose rated for fuel use....etc.

any other questions you want to ask?

Buy Earls braided hose. if it says it is rated & used in fuel & alcohol applications and you want to be adventurous enough to ask or look at the hose and look up the ratings and descriptions on the hose to check to be certain, go for it.

I'm being serious as I can be, I understand your question(s) but I believe the answer lies in what you have already found.
let me also put it this way, I'm using the stock hard lined fuel system, and I have an external pump & filter that is all braided line and a few hard pieces, such as 90 degree bend. These are AN fittings and they are sized in 16ths... for instance a -8 AN is 8/16ths or 1/2 inch. -10 is 10/16ths...etc

Why would it not be street legal?

get the earls braided hose, or get push-loc with push-loc fittings.

I've used that line in the past, and had to change it out a few years later when it started to break down and leech fumes. I wouldn't run anything other than teflon core lines after that experience...made my garage stink like no other, and driving it was even worse.

Goodridge made the hose and fittings...the fittings are a different design, so ones made for rubber lined hose like Earl's fittings will NOT work on the teflon core lines. That's why I recommend doing it right the first time, because once you buy the fittings, you aren't going to want to buy them again.

I'd give Lonnie (Lonnie's Performance) a call...he carries this stuff, and will get you going in the right direction.

the only real reason I don't want to do hardline is cuz of my inexperience with tubing tools and I don't like rust, but I found aluminum lines...

700hp street should use 1/2" line? or 5/8" line?
