Default Cheapest 36lb injectors?

I am planning a cam swap soon, and I belive that I will be at or over the limit of my stock '99 ls1 injectors. What is an inexpensive 36lb injector that can usually be easily found. Preferably ones that won't give my tuner any headaches either. I have been recommended fast 36lb injectors, but I am hoping I can find a set for less than $300... so basically what are some part numbers or something that I can search for in local junk yards, ebay, etc that will be direct fit?

The FAST 36# injectors are the same as the GM Bosch injectors found in supercharged 3800 engine cars. If you don't mind chancing used you can get them as cheap as $80 for a set of 8 in the classifieds here. You can get flow matched ones on Ebay.

FYI they are "36# injectors" but are actually 41-42# at LS rail pressure of 58psi.

You could also send your stock injectors off to be resized.

There are sooooo many 3800 supercharged cars falling down, just look around at your local salvage yard and pick up 8 or 10 injectors, and then send them out to be flowed and cleaned. Still cheaper than LS3 injectors.

I part out a few L67 cars ( 3800 supercharged series 2) GTP, Regal GS , Park Ave ULtra , Riviera , SSEI , Olds LSS , and a few Impala SS and Monte Carlo ss as well is what you want 96-04 , you want the ones off an engine with the M90 supercharger not the earlier M62 equipped series 1. I get $100 shipping included for a quantity of 8.

I would not do a resized injector as its impossible to get proper full characterization data for them , factory injectors are easy as the stock tune for the vehicle they came from to get the info for voltage offsets , short pulse adders ,etc... plenty of GM injectors that can work for you , flex fuel vehicles will also have larger injectors to be able to supply the approx. 30% fueling increases when running e85 lots of V8 flex fuel vehicles getting totaled out there and with less miles than most of the sc 3800 stuff nowadays being up to 20 years old.

Doesn't FIC give detailed injector flow rates when you send out stock ones to be resized?

Just be aware that there are probably far more options now for junkyard pull injectors now than there were in 2016. This is one area of hot rodding where our options just keep getting better. Also, congrats on actually being aware that this is an old thread. Too many people just don't pay attention.
