Slight Hard Start, Horrible Idle, Clears up... Help?
Hello all...
Had a problem arise a little while ago and Im finally getting around to fixing it.
So every time I go to start my WS6, For the first 10 seconds or so its hard to start. It will make 10 or so revolutions and finally hit. After that, it will die if I dont keep my foot on the gas. 5-10 seconds of keeping my foot on the gas and everything clears up, and it idles/drives fine.
Im thinking its a fuel issue. Walboro 240lph in the tank. I can hear it prime, but Im not sure if the check valve is jacked or not, allowing the fuel to drain back into the tank. Going to be putting a fuel pressure gauge on it later, but i just wanted opinions on anything else to look into. Ive searched the forums for an hour and cant find anyone with a problem similar to mine.
Car is a 98 with a 6.0, LS6 top end, Custom grind, headers, ect.
Ideas?

A few months ago, Alaska cold starts were a little bit colder
Fuel pump check valve can be ruled out by seeing if it starts without issue after listening to the pump prime and load as pressure builds. Give it a couple quick repeated key cycles to be on the safe side and try to start. If it still struggles, probably not the pump.

Car has been here 2 years, and I haven't changed a thing. I'm pretty sure I cycled the key last week a few times and it started instantly. I'll try again when I get home.
