Dual fuel pumps....problem or normal ?

i have install 2 ....DW 255..intank....is it normal when i run just 1 pump...the car pulls less...is it possible that it pass through the other pump a bit and lose pressure, ( probably not ),,,when both runs...no problem...

so does it means that with a dual intank fuel pump set up....you must always run them together ?

Pressure test :

1 pump idle = 58 psi
1 pump WOT = 45 psi

2 pumps idle = 60 psi
2 pumps WOT = 60 psi

I'm not an expert but I just swapped to an LS1 gas tank in my LT1 car and tested the pressure and get something similar. 50 psi with both pumps, 47 with one (LT1 spec is 43-47).

What kind of Y fitting? Size? What kind of hose in the bucket going to each pump? PTFE corrigated?

its a T brass fitting 3/8,,with 3/8 submersible hose...could not find any 3/8 Y fitting local...so i order some from uk ( polyamide 6 ,fiber reinforce) ..waiting for it

Sounds like you might have a bad pump.

Probably just overrunning the return a bit with two pumps VS 1. As long as the pressure isn't dropping steadily (which would indicate pump tapped) I don't see a problem.

yes i will check for pump tapping out....and test the new 3/8 Y fitting ...
