Eliminating extra throttle cables

Eliminating extra throttle cables Car is original TCS and Cruise Control equipped car.
Gas pedal "feel" is that it is too stiff/hard to push down. The car is 75% "race" car, and I dont use cruise control or factory traction control, as the 9" rear has no wheel speed sensors.
Can I eliminate the extra throttle cables on my 2000 Trans Am?
If new cable is required, does anyone know what cable application it would be?
I thought of a universal type, but would rather have an OEM, or OEM type as first choice.

I really cannot say because this car originally came with a V6 and was drive by wire. Might be that the cables have lost some lubricity and become stiff or there's some binding going on somewhere

Yeah, I don't doubt that at all. The Ole girl's 23 years old. I'd just assume bypass the whole deal. After driving my DBW Silverado as a daily, the car seems l Iike I'm trying to push a brick through the floorboard., lol
