Default pressure issue

After driving the car 45 miles tonight (1st time out w/ turbo set-up) a problem started. I had parked the car for 45 minutes and decided to let it idle for a few minute before I went home. After 4-5 minutes the pump started to get louder and whine... Pressure dropped to 30-40 lbs and wobbled 20-40...I figured a low voltage issue from idling. I shut if off for a minute..then started it up and drove 3 miles home...On that trip is wobbled from 20-40 lbs and wanted to stall . I kept rpms up a little and prevented that...when I turned on my street the pump got real loud and lbs went below 20 so i shut her off.
I have the Aeromotive 1500, 8 and 10 AN steel lines, all top of the line accessories and the big aeromotive filter...
Whats happening here? I have both an under the hood and in car pressure gauges and both tell me similar things. Its a BMR tank..everything is brand new..there was no issue on the dyno or for the 1st 45 miles of stop and go.
help

PS, the car is also blowing black smoke...and I mean alot..when boost hit, but that may just be a tuning issue. I know some is normal...this aint normal.

Stupid question, but how much fuel is in the tank?

The aeromotives get loud when they start to suck air.

Also, is the tank vented?

Glad your awake too.

The tank was half full. I honestly do not know how the tank is vented. It is a lil difficult to fill, but there is some sentiment of a vent. i can small the evap in the garage. Also it ran the dyno and 1st 40 miles without issue and those 40 miles included multiple stops ranging from a few minutes to over an hour.

how low is the pump in relation to the sump on the tank?

It sounds like it's sucking air, atleast based on the pump noise and pressure drop. Could be a flaky pump, is it new?

Do you have a pre-pump filter on there? Might have had crude in the tank/system and filled up the filter if so. Worth a look if you have one.

The pump is about 6" away and mounted just above the sump. The pump, as with the entire fuel system..and reast of the drivetrain is brand spanking new. Theres a large pre-pump filter on. Oddly enough, when I woke up, I turned the key and pressure is back up.

Kinda sounds like your tank it not venting properly and/or you are heating up the fuel and getting alot of aeration of the fuel. The pump is trying to suck up foamy fuel.

The hard to fill part makes me think it's not vented enough.

The problem is baaacckkk. Seems to happen at night when the lights are on...voltage issue? My voly gauge stays 13+ when running but when the key is on it drops fast to about 5.

hmmm you drop to 5 volts when in the battery position? If you are at 13 when the car is on I would say it should not matter but 5 volts is indicating something is up with the battery. Got something grounded out somewhere or maybe just a bad battery? Maybe its worth trying another pump to see if it has the same symptoms?
