My car has been sitting for about 3 months with a full tank of gas in it. What to do?

yup, I got in an accident on the 1st of july and have been fixing the car out of pocket. The hood (last thing I needed) has finally got here, and now its 30 bux of fuel in my tank and im scared it might detonate because of sitting for so long.

I've always heard you can take a hose, stik one end in the tank, suk on it until you get gas to sump it out... I think some people that live down by the river do this when their pickups run out of gas...

If it was me I would use some of that stp to eat up the water. Every gas has water in it and if I remember correctly gas is lighter then water, so the water is sitting at the bottom

I work in the auto repair biz and deal with cars that have sat for years. At three months, or frankly more like up to a year, you will be fine. If the gas has gone bad it will have a funny smell like laquer thinner. You have no problem.

There is a product called Sta-bil that works too, I used to use it when my car sat while I was on deployments (6-9 months)... never had a problem.
