Default Racetronix PnP question...

I recently installed a Racetronix PnP fuel system in my 2002 Z28... ARE in Toronto did the install. I have a H&C package on a stock shortblock with 37lb injectors and the pump worked great with the car making about 430RWHP. I just added a TNT ring kit and the car would get leaner and leaner on the dyno after a couple of pulls when spraying. I noticed that the Zex bottle heater was on all the time and the voltage meter in the car was just below the half way mark. Is it possible that the drain from the bottle heater would prevent the fuel pump from performing properly? After a couple pulls with A/F shooting to 14:1 before we could shut it down I will be ending up rebuilding me stock short block into a 408 iron stroker...

Any one have any suggestions?

Also double check to see that there are no kinks/restrictions in the fuel line.

What was your fuel pressure under WOT?

We had the electronic Autometer gauge hooked up and it was at ~60lbs around idle... as the RPM's climbed it went down to about 55lbs... is it possible that the pressure was there but the volume of fuel dropped?

Yes... unless the PnP system comes with an upgraded one? Could this be my issue? I want to get this sorted out before I started spraying my new 408

This is a regulator problem.
The pump has more than enough volume at your HP level.

Is there a regulator on a 2002 F-Body... is it not a return less system that does not have a regulator? Is this a common problem and how do I fix it?

Thanks

PS. My buddy CamG picked up my pump from you and I had Pete and the gang @ ARE install it... I just spoke with CamG and he offered to help out in any way possible... I live out in Montreal... in order to make sure my new motor gets enough fuel when spraying...

The FPR is on the fuel module.

Contact a Toronto dealer on our web page such as Redline and speak with Barry.

You can convert your system to a return style with GM parts BUT you will have to remove the regulator from the fuel module in your tank to do this.
