Maybe the fuel pump?? I made the mistake of running my gas tank to low and I ran out of gas. I had a friend take me to the gas station to get gas and I put some in thinking that it should just start right up but nothing happens. It wants to start but nothing happens. It sounds like its not getting any gas. Did I mess up the pump or do any other kind of damage?? Whats the first thing I should check?? 
first thing to check..........fuel pressure sounds like a good place to start. if u ran it low the pump got really hot and this is what causes them to go bad. most people run there tank to E and get the pump nice and hot then pump cold fuel on it and this shortens the life alot. also check for a ses light at key on, if its not lit u have a different problem, check for spark. do the simple stuff first

mine just did the exact same thing, mailing some bills and it just cut off, tried to start it back and nada, no pressure in the rails so i thought i was out, put some in and primed and primed and primed, then tried again and no start, checked and still no pressure in the rails...so i guess i need to get a fuel pump...any suggestions?
When you say no presure in the fuel rail do you actually have a fuel gauge you are using? I only ask because I am having the exact problem you are having. I dont have a gauge but there is fuel in the fuel rail but the car just will not start. I can here the pump but I think that is were the problem is.

If you turn the key to the off position(where you can actually remove it) and then to the on position, do you hear the pump prime up?
Have you cut the hole to get to the top of your tank?
Have you checked your Fuel Pump fuses?
If you have the hole and your fuse isn't blown, I'd go to the pump connector in the back with a multimeter and test to see if it's getting power. If it's getting power, but you don't hear it prime up then it sounds like the pump is dead.
If you're brave and cautious you could remove the supply line from the fuel filter. Turn the key to the on position and fuel should come shooting out. (If you try this, be prepared for the fuel and definitely be sure not to get nay on you. Fuel in your eye, ears, or mouth is BAD!)
Just a few easy ideas you can try before pulling and potentially replacing the pump.

Well I put a gauge on the fuel rail and got a reading. 60 psi is what I have at the fuel rail. So the pump is working but the car is still not starting. I checked for spark and it is there. What could it be?

Test to make sure all your injectors are hooked up properly. You might even want to pull an injector and turn the car over to see if it sprays. If not you'll have to see if your injectors are getting power. I've never run into that problem so hopefully someone can come on and share their knowledge. but it sounds like your injectors are not getting power and/or signal.

Turns out my plugs were all fouled up. When the car was run outa gas the plugs must have gone. I cleaned them up and the car runs great. I am still going to order new ones though. Me again=>
