Default Fuel System Pics

New motor will be going in soon.
Will have single in tank walbro 340 with return from the regulator. Will use stock feed line for now. May add in line pump if need be...

i would put some backets on to mount the rails to the intake... or they will shoot off.

IMO these beautiful pieces are a waste of potential unless you enlarge the pressure line from the pump to the rail... and i would be thinking parallel pumps instead of in-line (as long as your in-tank pump is high pressure capable)

also please tell me that is not a nitrous fitting behind the throttle body

Nitrous fitting? You mean the EGR port?

Yeah I was wondering about how to support the rails to the intake. Guess I will have to fab some mounts. Or can they be bought?

I was thinking duals in tank but I dont like 2 things about it:
1. Takes a lot of volume out of the sending unit by adding another pump in there
2. If trigger to turn on 2nd pump fails, FP will suffer. With an in tank and in line, the in line is always running.

I am no fuel expert and have no experience to back up these assumptions, these are just things I have thought about. MM if you can add some info that would be nice...I respect ur opinion

i was kidding about the fitting.
if you bought the rails from speed inc you should have gotten brackets see my brackets http://community.webshots.com/photo/...64993768hYNLOz

1.the volume of the second pump i would have to say is negligable... maybe a half a liter?
2. if the trigger to turn on the second pump fails, you are up a creek either way.
i run my parallel pumps both on all the time with no issues. you can do it this way if you are worried about a failing trigger..dont have one.

in parallel, one good pump and one bad pump still works as good as one good pump
in line, the good pump has to push or pull through the bad pump, leaving it worse off than just one good pump

remember also that parallel pumps flow twice the volume at the same pressure while in line pumps withstand twice the pressure at the same volume. the configuration is based on the need.

if you are using the fuel pressure to make up for injectors that are too small and in line may help.
-supercharger companies did this because an FMU and a fuel pump is cheaper and easier than a set of injectors and tuning

if you are adding a second pump because you need more fuel available to an appropriately sized injector, twin pumps (or a larger vol single pump)is the way to go.

I bought my rails new, but from an individual. I had to buy the mounts from Speed inc. $15.
