Default Pics of mounted Aeromotive A1000 pump

SHow me pics of where you mounted your A1000 pump and filter...I have a sump tank and full exhaust...I am thinking up in the rear bumper, on the back of the TTop/storage well.

That's the only place I've seen it mounted. The A1000 is a pretty bulky pump. It would be difficult to descretely tuck it in somewhere.

I think that'll be your best bet. I've seen some Mustangs with it in the bumper, but the best spot would be under the t-top well. No need to try to pull fuel uphill from the tank to the pump.

When I had a Weldon 2025, it was mounted inside where the rear bump support used to be.

John, got pics? are you talking back where the fuel tank fill tube and cannister are? Up in the very back of the drivers side wheelwell?

I think I am gonna 90* out of the tank with a #10 towards the passenger side, mount the filter on the front of the well, wrap the hose around the passenger side of the well, mount the pump on the back of the well, come around the drivers side of the well and go up front with a number 8, thats the best way I can figure without it hangin out all over....only thing I am worried about is a rear end type accident....could be ugly.

If some one tells me how to get a pic on this post i will post you one. I built a bracket that mounted to my frame and is just behind the tank this will put the pump at just below half tank but the bottm of the pump is below the tank. I think it looks good on the bracket.

David, I had picks of mine up, but LS1.net is down right now so the pictures wont show. I did like you are thinking. 90* out of the tank, swoop back into the filter, which is coupled to the pump, then to a finer filter, and up to the front with the feed. I mounted mine on the bottom of the T-top storage well. Do you plan to run the aeromtive voltage regulator since you going to keep it on the street? E-mail me and I'll attach the pic of mine.

Yes I am on the step down voltage regulator, a buddy of mine has one I am gonna buy, I gonna mount my filter on the front side of the well right after I 90 out of the tank so I can service it if needed. Send me the pics to

I am also interested in the same thing, right now I have my pump mounted under the spare tire well. The routing is 90 out of the sump toward the pass side, with inline filter, then 90 into pump, 180 out of pump and all of the way back to the stock filter location. It has been in this configuration for a couple of years but I am really thinking about moving things around. I am also going to wrap the muffler with thermo-tec to add a barrier between the muffler and the sump.

And burning up your pump...You want to mount the A1000 as close to the sump and BELOW it as possible. If not you will get what they call cavitation problems and burn the pump up.

Thats pretty much the idea I had for mine...Im gonna make a bracket to weld to the frame well to hold the pump, then use the rubber isolators for an MSD box to mount it to the bracket that i make and it should kill some of the noise.

As long as the pump is below the level of fuel in the tank it will be fine, I planned on mounting it even with the bottom of the tank behind the back of the storage well up in the little bumper cavity, my line and fittings will be here today and I will test fit this weekend.

You are correct as long as its mounted below the tank...But you are also asking the pump to pull the fuel as well, longer then you would normally want it to if it was mounted close as possible to the tank.

Its alittle further away back there then you want to be....Go ahead and try it. Its not my car, i was only helping with what Ive already been through

I got 3.5" duals on the car..LOL Im not worried about the noise. It actually decreased 70% of the noise when we used some rubber isolators that MSD uses with their ignition boxes. It was much more tolerable then. I promise!
