Trying to mix 116 and 101 to make 104???
the setup i am running said i need to run a minimum of 104 octane, i cant find any around here. i found 101(unleaded) and 116 (leaded) . if i calculate right, mixing 4 gallons of 101 and 1 gallon of 116 will yield right at 104 or just a hair above. my main question is with the 1 gallon of leaded in the mix, will it be to much lead to screw up the O2's or not? i am just trying to figure out the best way to mix the fuels, any info would be greatly appreciated, thanx

If it were me I would add a can of Torco to the 101 and test for kr. Probably be all you'll need. You can also buy 104 unleaded from Sunoco by the drum.....over time the lead will kill the o2's and the cats (if you use them).

unleaded gas is for girlie men. Just buy some Denso sensors. They resist lead poisoning very well. Most of the GN guys seem to be getting 25-30 gallons of straight c16 through them before they notice them getting lazy.
I run my car on gas that has a low lead content when I race and i've put 20 gallons through the car with ZERO O2 issues so far, including 5 gallons of c16. I am running the denso sensors though since I love leaded gas

well 100 bucks for regular O2s and 50.00 for the wideband sensor every 25-30 gallons and I'll just keep buying the unleaded 104 for 4.80 a gallon to run at the track and be girly I already went through 15 gallons this year and I drive a lot but I use 93 to cruise on.
Only thing I cant stand about unleaded is the smell out the tailpipe but the 104 smells like manly fuel so my friends dont laugh at me

id try running your own special mix. like say 70% pump 93 and 30% acetone will give you 108. so will 30% some other paint chemicals like xylene and toulene i believe. so a search on it and youll see. screw buying new O2's for leaded gas, youd be broke ina year...

How true is that though KP? Damned pump gas smells nasty and it's a "breath of fresh air" every time I get to the drag strip. Something about the sweet smell of octane. There is always methonal injection.
