Is there any difference between the racetronix pump and a plain walbro 255?

You will be very happy with it.

Does all of this tech info apply to people with 98's with a metal tank? If I just have baffles does it matter what I run for a pump? I want to improve over stock as I am looking into N20. Is there a different kit for the 98?
Thanks

Thanks MATT, and I may just go that route, but my question was since there is no "canister" as "racetronix" was mentioning, why is the 98 kit the same amount of money if the tank is not lets say "advanced"

The cost of parts in the F98 system are similar and the quantities produced are lower. The F98 pump assembly is designed to hold the pump in the factory location and hookup to the factory filter sock. The F98 pump assembly is just as technically involved to produce as the F99 system. The F98 harness is more involved.

The 98 fuel pump is a very well engineered piece. Sure you could save a few $$ with a hose clamp and a drop a standard pump, but a fuel system is not something where you skimp on.

I like my Racetronix pump setup

Got the pump and kit installed, wow was it easy...great kit, awsome instructions! Wiring up the KB BAP was really easy too, thanks to the RT kit, man they thought of everything! Even down to the paper clip to release the wire clips

i had a racetronix on an old setup and began running lean at about 615 hp.. I personally don't like the idea of a booster pump.. i made my own dual setup.. one 340 on the factory harness.. and a 255 on its own harness that is only activated hen the nitrous is engaged.. cost me less than adding a booster.. and the whole setup was cheaper then buying a racetronix in the first place.. and I don't run out of fuel n e more..

for full details on my setup PM me. it was really easy

I wish that I had spent the extra 100 bucks for a better setup
when ever I go to teh track I have to make sure my tank is compleatly full

How about for a '95 Z. I hear mostly about '99+ and '98 but would a walbro do fine in my '95 or would racetronix be that much of a difference.

The venturi return, it relies on the stock return after the fuel filter? Can it still work with an external swirl pot and reegulator up the front, feeding off the return line? Does it rely on the in-tank regulator installed and working? Wondering if 2 regs will stuff things up...

An operational description of this system is covered in our ad.
